Bakerloo & Northern Lines To Skip Embankment

Northern and Bakerloo line services will not stop at Embankment station for most of next year while escalator work is completed, causing major disruption for passengers.
The work to replace the escalators will start in January and last for ten months, affecting the two lines.
Transport For London says people can walk to or from Waterloo or Charing Cross instead.
The escalators were installed more than 80 years ago and were last refurbished in the 1970s.
All four escalators are being done at once as TfL claims doing them in phases would have increased the time the work would take to “at least 75 weeks”.
Circle and District line trains will continue to stop at Embankment during the work.
